Work-Life Balance Gen Z Style: An Experience as a Work from Home Staff at Ecomobi Company

Gen Z-style work-life balance focuses on building a balance that meets individual requirements and embraces the idea that worker happiness and well-being are just as essential as a career achievement, which has a significant impact on the company’s good performance. This is how I felt during my time as a probation officer working WFH (Work from Home) at Ecomobi, a company with Gen Z-friendly core values.

Fostering Integrity and Growth Hacking in Flexible Work

A flexible job that may be done from home provides me with a far larger opportunity to develop myself. However, the challenges ahead are equally daunting. As a result, when faced with problems at work, I have learned to constantly work smart, innovate, and stay focused on my goals.

When I find it difficult to complete my work at home, I usually discuss with my colleagues, look for inspiration through social media, and turn my ideas into inventive solutions to my workplace challenges.

Some of the challenges when working from home are easily bored and stuck for ideas. Therefore, I take advantage of every chance provided by the company to develop ideas and potential through events like Olymbiz, the summer trip, and so on.  All of these actions can foster integrity between me, my colleagues, and the leader, resulting in a very pleasant yet still valuable work atmosphere.

Value-oriented to Achieve Success in the Work-life Balance

As an idol project staff, my job is to manage Tiktok social media to recruit potential idols to join the Ecomobi live-streaming agency. This agency is still relatively new and of course, there are many difficulties that I have experienced. However, with the help of leaders and managers who always guide me, the Ecomobi agency now can compete with other agencies in Indonesia and has been ranked 9th on the Tiktok leaderboard event in August 2024. As part of a value-oriented company, of course I will continue to learn to define my tasks clearly, focus on the goals that must be achieved, and to maximize my performance to contribute to the realization of the company’s vision and mission.

After having the chance and experience while working WFH at Ecomobi so far, I can balance a peaceful personal life as Gen Z and maintaining work professionalism by implementing the company’s core values ​​which allows me to improve my skills. I am very grateful to have this opportunity and experience, I hope this journey will continue and Ecomobi Company will continue to present me with opportunities to contribute to the company in the future.
